The Washington DC office of Porter Novelli is looking for a Media Planner/Buyer with 1-3 years of experience in digital and traditional media. This person will provide support for the media team in all aspects of media planning for a variety of clients including the development of media recommendations, management of ongoing media plans, forming and maintaining relationships with key media, ad trafficking, research and analytics and client reporting.
Responsibilities
Assist in the development, coordination and management of various campaigns including digital, traditional and public service.
Work with media properties and outside vendors, including outside buying firms, to provide guidance on media strategy and negotiate best value for clients
Develop and manage search campaigns
Collaborate with creative teams and manage the production of digital and advertising materials
Assist in the billing process including insertion orders, reconciliations and reporting.
Assist in tracking/evaluating campaign effectiveness with post analysis reports.
Field incoming proposals /phone calls from media representatives and maintain professional relationships.
Qualifications:
1-3 years of media buying and planning in an agency environment.
Strong background in digital media including search, display and digital media analytics including working with Google Adwords and Google Analytics.
Understanding of SEO and SEM
Exposure to integrated campaigns and offline media planning.
Effective oral and written communication skills.
Excellent organizational skills.
Ability to understand, evaluate, interpret, and translate results of raw data.
Time management – multi-tasking, prioritization
Basic knowledge of internal agency systems and process.
