Events and Promotions Coordinator

Position Description: 

This position is located in the Office of the Chief Financial Officer (OCFO), DC Lottery and Charitable Games Control Board (DCLB). The incumbent will provide operating support to the marketing department, to include assisting in agency promotions, events, project management, and budget duties.

Specifically, the incumbent will plan and execute all aspects of agency promotions and present final reports and findings to the events specialist; coordinate assignments with other agency groups where necessary; assist with community outreach and studies; assist with contract administration and program management, and develop information necessary for solicitations, budget exercises or presentations; review and evaluate marketing activities and programs and make recommendations in defining policies and practices; assists with all aspects of the marketing budgeting functions through the automated procurement system; tracks invoices to ensure timely acquisition of services and payments to vendors; assists with the tracking and monitoring of contract spending rates; participates in the formulation of departmental policies and operational plans to increase the efficiency of the organization. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications: 

Minimum Qualifications: One (1) year of specialized experience performing the related duties and responsibilities is required.

Specialized Experience: Experience that provides the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the normal line of progression for this position.
